Why is the Diocese events service called "Go2Galilee"?
After the resurrection Christ said "tell my brethren to Go to Galilee, and there they will see me." (Matt 10:28). So, at all these spiritual events we can consider each as an invitation from Christ to meet Him there - "When two or three of you gather in my name, there I will be amongst you."
Why does it say I have to login or make an account to register with Go2Galilee?
This is for security reasons and to keep your data safe - certainly essential for online payments. Our system is secured and protected from identity theft and uses the popular PayPal service for payments. If set up to do so, you can set your account to remember some of your details for the next time you use Go2Galilee.
What's the point of booking online (using Go2Galilee)?
If you don't book online using Go2Galilee the organisers may turn you away at any event where booking online is compulsory (most if not all events). Using Go2Galilee means that the organisers can pay the group expenses quickly and easily. Your details are essential for any event so that organisers can arrange things like accommodation, workshops, travel arrangements and have emergency contact details ready if anything happens. Also you must understand that booking online means that the organisers can spend less time making a database and more time actually organising the event.
Why are there Terms & Conditions?
Our Terms & Conditions ask you to fill in your details truthfully and accurately. They also make you aware of our policy on cancellations. Non-cooperation or ignoring the Terms & Conditions may result in your booking being rejected.
I want to book for more than one person. What's the best way to do this?
We have an option for group bookings, where as with individual ones, all data should be filled for each person. If you are not booking for a family but rather a group of people, it is best to let them all book individually so that each will recieve their own confirmation code, although this is your decision to make.
Do I need to have a PayPal account to pay online?
Although we use the PayPal service, it doesn't require you to have an account at PayPal or even make one. However, it may be easier if you will use Go2Galilee or PayPal often, to make an account with them.
Do I need to register the details of an infant as a seperate member in the group booking?
For any infant under 2 years of age we will only need their name provided in the "comments" box. For an infant above 2 years of age they should be regarded as an individual member of the group.
I didn't receive a confirmation email or thank you message after I booked for an event
In this case we strongly advise you to contact us straight away using the details or form on the contact page and ask us to check for your booking.
Is there a quicker or easier way to directly go to the Go2Galilee page?
Yes, there is. You can type in www.go2galilee.org into your browser and it will take you directly to the Go2Galilee page.
When is the best time to book for an event?
The best time to book for an event is certainly as soon as booking online has opened. Booking late will result in extra charges in most cases (as it usually costs money to make changes to already established arrangements).
I'm having problems or difficulties booking online using Go2Galilee. What should I do?
If you're struggling to use Go2Galilee contact us straight away using the details or form on the contact page and we will attempt to assist you as soon as we can. If you don't contact us, we can't explain to the organisers why you are not registered.
